2024 GLOS: Dirtbag Diaries Live Recording

A special highlight of the 2024 Great Lakes Outdoor Summit was a live recording of The Dirtbag Diaries podcast at The West Theatre, sponsored by the Minnesota Land Trust.

Fitz Cahall flew in to record stories of three national icons..

  • Connor Ryan, Indigenous activist, filmmaker, and pro-skier shared how his connection to the land influences everything he does and his efforts to get more Indigenous youth out on skis.

  • Alan Sparhawk, world-renowned musician for the band Low and Duluth local, shared how Lake Superior and our trails have helped him through depression, anxiety, and grief.

  • Quinn Brett, professional adaptive athlete and advocate, shared how she is transforming a tragic climbing fall into a silver lining and all the work she is doing to make our spaces more accessible and welcoming for those with physical disabilities.

A special thank you to Fitz, Connor, Al, and Quinn for sharing yourself so freely. Your stories definitely hit home on many levels and left the audience with new ways of thinking.

We'll share the recording when it is ready; if you'd like to be the first to know, sign up for our newsletter: www.duluthaoa.org/newsletter
