2024 GLOS: Field Trips
Field trips were one of our favorite add-ons during the 2024 Great Lakes Outdoor Summit. They were a great chance for Summit attendees to enjoy many of the outdoor recreation opportunities of Duluth, while also meeting the faces and organizations behind these incredible trails and projects.
The five field trips we hosted were a BIPOC Nature Walk and Talk at Hartley Nature Center brought to you by BIPOC Outdoors Twin Ports and the Superior Hiking Trail Association, a group ride on the Duluth Traverse brought to you by Cyclists of Gitchee Gumee Shores - COGGS, a river train ride and walk at the newly restored Spirit Lake Delta Cap brought to you by the St. Louis River Alliance and Lake Superior & Mississippi Railroad , a Quarry Park walking tour brought to you by Duluth Climbers Coalition, and a guided ‘Secrets of Duluth’ hike on the historic incline stairway brought to you by Duluth Foot Trails Alliance (DuFTA).
If you enjoyed any of these adventures, please follow and support the organizations that led them!
